Register data pulled directly from the ENA Type Test Register on —; most recent listing —. Scope: the "Plug-in Solar" device type only. Several well-known brands hold compliant entries under other device types (PV, Energy Storage) — those do not carry the socket route, so they are deliberately excluded here. The How to buy column is researched by hand, not part of the register, and retail routes were last verified between 23 and 26 September 2026. Register data itself was pulled 30 September 2026. Prices are not on the register either. Each one shown was read from the retailer's own product page on the date given beside it, and is the inc-VAT figure a consumer actually pays — several trade-facing retailers quote ex-VAT first. Most compliant models show no price because they are trade or distributor listings with no public consumer price; a dash means we could not check one, not that the kit is unavailable. Prices change faster than the register, so treat the checked date as the expiry date and confirm with the retailer before buying.
Being on this list means the device may use the socket self-install route. You still have to register the system — at myplugin.solar or via a full G98 notification, depending on your kit. Our G98 / DNO checker tells you which applies.
Battery-integrated kits are excluded by design. The specification covers solar-only devices, so a kit that ships with storage — the Anker Solarbank, Zendure's Hyper 2000, or a STREAM bundle including a battery — cannot appear on this list however compliant it is elsewhere. Note that the solar-only kits from those same brands can and do: Zendure's SolarFlow 800 and EcoFlow's plug-in solar kits are listed here. The battery in the box decides it, not the brand name. Excluded kits remain legal to buy and own, but need a hard-wired BS 7671 connection by a qualified electrician.
The headline count flatters the market. Most of the — compliant models are trade or distributor listings: real, compliant, and not straightforwardly purchasable by a member of the public. We could confirm a consumer-facing retail route — an actual page with retail prices, checked by hand between 23 and 26 September 2026 — for only — manufacturers: City Plumbing Supplies (in-branch nationwide and online), UKSOL (direct from its Sheffield store and through City Plumbing), Perlight Solar (through the retailer Plug In Solar) and PatioSun (direct), covering — models between them.
Others may well sell direct — UKSOL, Octopus Energy and Thunder Energy each look likely — but we could not confirm a consumer checkout, so we have not counted them. The table marks those as unconfirmed rather than guessing either way.
That gap, rather than the raw register total, is what determines your actual choice as a buyer. It is also why a kit being "certified" and a kit being "available" are two different questions — and why we track both.
