What data we collect and why
Analytics (Google Analytics 4)
We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors use this site — which pages are read, how long people spend on them, and broadly where visitors come from. Google Analytics collects anonymised data including your approximate location (country/region), device type, browser, and pages visited. It does not collect your name, email address, or any information that directly identifies you.

The savings calculator
When you use the savings calculator, your postcode is sent to the postcodes.io API (a free, open-source UK postcode lookup) to retrieve your latitude and longitude. This is then used to query the EU Joint Research Centre's PVGIS database for solar yield data for your location. We do not store your postcode or any calculation inputs. Nothing is logged or retained on our servers.
Contact emails
If you email us at hello@balconyenergy.co.uk, we will use your email address and the contents of your message to respond to your query. We do not add you to any mailing list or share your details with third parties.

This site uses cookies set by Google Analytics to distinguish unique visitors and sessions. These are analytics cookies only. We do not use advertising cookies, tracking pixels, or any other cookies beyond those required for analytics.
