Generation data sourced from PVGIS (EU Joint Research Centre) using satellite-measured irradiance for your postcode. Savings assume 80% self-consumption. This is an estimate, not financial advice.

How it works

This calculator queries PVGIS — the EU Joint Research Centre's satellite-based solar database — using your actual postcode coordinates. It's the same data source used by solar installers and energy researchers across Europe.

It uses a performance ratio of 75% — accounting for inverter losses, temperature, and soiling — and assumes 80% self-consumption of generated electricity.

Your postcode is converted to coordinates using the free postcodes.io API. Nothing is stored or tracked.
