Rough annual savings

Case Saving a year
London, home most of the day (75% used) ~£170
Manchester, out all day (30% used) ~£60

Method: the site's standard assumptions from How Much Can You Save: a south-facing 800W system generates 860 kWh a year in London and 756 kWh in Manchester, priced at the Ofgem cap of 26.32p/kWh. We scale to this kit's panel watts (930W), and because the inverter is limited to 800W, panels above about 930W add only a few pounds. These are estimates, not a quote. Unused generation earns nothing, because plug-in solar does not qualify for the Smart Export Guarantee.

Run your own numbers: the payback calculator takes your postcode, orientation and usage, and the savings calculator gives a location-accurate generation estimate.
