TSUNESS (TSUN) Plug-In Solar Kits: 3 ENA-Certified Models for the UK
TSUNESS, which sells as TSUN, is a Chinese microinverter maker with an established range of "Easy Solar Kit" (ESK) balcony systems in Europe. On 15 September 2026 it registered three compliant 800W kits on the ENA G98 Type Test Register. All three are UK versions fitted with a BS1363 (UK 13A) plug.
Last checked: 4 October 2026. Register data from the ENA API (pulled 30 September 2026).
Quick Facts - Register status: 3 compliant, 0 non-compliant, all registered at 0.8 kW - What's in the box (per the register): an 800W microinverter, PV panels and a 5m AC cable with a UK plug - UK retail: none found. TSUN's ESK kits sell in Europe, but we have not found a UK shop listing any of these three - Warranty: TSUN publishes a 12-year product warranty for its ESK range. Check that it applies to UK-sold kits before buying

The register descriptions spell out the differences:
- TSOL-ESK800 and TSOL-ESK800-U: two 460W panels with one 800W microinverter. That's 920W of panel on an 800W inverter, the same overpanelled ratio as most two-panel UK kits. The "-U" suffix is TSUN's universal-mount version in Europe.
- TSOL-ESK800-Air(V): four 200W panels with the same inverter. Smaller, lighter panels are the point: they are easier to hang on a railing and handle in a flat, but four panels means more mounting and cabling.
The Short Answer
The registrations are a good sign: a large European balcony-solar brand is preparing to sell in the UK. But a register listing is not a shop. Until a UK retailer lists these kits with a price, a UK warranty route and UK support, there is nothing to buy. If you want to install this year, look at the certified kits you can buy now.
FAQ
Is the TSUN ESK800 legal to plug in in the UK? The three UK-plug versions listed above are compliant Plug-in Solar entries, so yes, for those exact kits. European ESK kits with a Schuko plug and an adapter are not the same product and are not covered.
Can I import a TSUN kit from Europe? Not legally for the socket route. The listing covers the UK configuration with the BS1363 plug. A Schuko kit on an adapter is neither registered nor safe.
